All set for Evanglist Job Alabi’s Burial



All is now set for the burial of renowned Evangelist and founder of Covenant of Peace Evangelistic Association, Evangelist Job Alabi, who died on May 26, 2017.

He will be buried on August 12, 2017 in a rite of passage to kick off from tomorrow the 7th day of August 2017.

According to the release by the burial committee, Evangelist Alabi would be buried after a burial service which kicked off by 10.00am at the Beulah Baptist Center, Ogbomoso while the interment will at the Peaceable Habitation, Ogbomoso.

The burial program would commence on Monday, August 7, 2017 with a commendation service at Ilorin, Kwara State.

According to the committee, this will be followed on Tuesday 8th August 2017 with documentary “Life story of Evang. Job Alabi” at Peaceable Habitation, while there will be a service of song on Wednesday 9th of August, 2017 at the same venue.

There will be Evangelism outreach on Thursday 10th of August, 2017 in Ogbomoso.

The christian wake will hold at the Restoration Center, Ikose/Ikoyi road on Friday August 11, 2017.

BRIEF BIOGRAPHY 

Evangelist Job Adegboyega Alabi was born just about the end of the Second World War. His parents,Deacon Moses Alabi and Deaconess Ziporah Olajumoke Alabi were traders from Alapo's Compound,Okelerin, Ogbomoso, Oyo State,Nigeria.  He was born while the parents were trading in Lokoja.
     
He started his elementary school in Baptist Nursery  School, Lokoja, the present capital of kogi state. He was later taken to Jos, the present capital of Plateau state by his aunt. Because of high demand for admission into school, he could not immediately be admitted to Baptist school in Jos. Therefore, he entered St. Michael U.N.A. School, Jos where he completed his standard one but had to receive transfer to another school because that was the highest class attainable in St. Michael School. After staying at home for some years, he was admitted to the Ansaruldeen School Jos. The same year he left Ansaruldeen for religious reason and refused to go to any school for years until he was admitted into Baptist Day School, Jos where he obtained his first school leaving Certificate.

While still in school, the Lord met and saved him at the age of 15 during a revival service conducted by the Late Rev. J.O. Alabi who came to first Baptist church Jos from first Baptist church Minna. After his first school leaving certificate and for lack of opportunity he was again out of school. He worked with All Comfort Company for some time. He later became an apprentice photographer in Ikare Akoko. He completed his apprenticeship and became a professional photographer and work as a civilian photographer with the Nigerian Army School of Education, Ilorin.

Meanwhile, after his conversion, the Lord had called him into the Gospel Ministry. In preparation for the call, he sat for G.C.E. and with the G.C.E. result, he entered Ilorin Grammar School where between January and May he sat for and passed his West African School Certificate.
     
He then received training in Theology and Religious Education from the Nigerian Baptist Theological Seminary, Ogbomoso. He won scholarship as the best academic student of his class. He continued his studies through distance learning in both theology and religious education with the Evangel Christian University of America (Nigeria Campus). He took some courses in law with SANDORC INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT, Nigeria. He is still learning.
       Mr. Alabi is married to former Miss Adewuni Felicia Akande of Adegbite Compound, Okelerin, Ogbomoso.

       He is blessed with children, male and female. Evangelist. Alabi is a student of the word and an author.

Evangelist Job Alabi, died peacefully in his home in the morning of Friday 26 May 2017 after He returned from a missionary trip at the age of 72.
