FOLARIN LOCAL CONTENT BILL; A BILL TO SALVAGE NIGERIA ECONOMIC FROM DEPRAVATION - Adesina Julius

The local content bill sponsored by the Distinguished Senator representing Oyo central senatorial district, Senator Teslim Kolawole Folarin, which has scale through the second reading at the floor of the senate. This local content bill which is aimed at transforming Nigeria industrially and drive the economic activity of the country.

Over the year Nigeria as a country, has been wallowing in the space of depending on another country to survive, which has indignitify the country and shows the high level of how our local product is not being value. It speak ill of a country like ours, Nigeria relying on another country to survive despite how, we are blessed with resources that can place us on the world map as the most productive country.

We hold that government has not been able to mitigate the stoppage of patronising the foreign goods over local goods which could have help our economy to have been Jumpstarted and jobs created, if they have encourage and support the patronage of local goods.

It can not be gainsaid that Nigeria as a country is an usual state due to the fact that, we have so much devalue our product and see no good in our local product, but by this local content bill sponsored by Senator Teslim Folarin, if passed to law will be one of the way out of the quagmire. As it will have a greater benefit on the economy of Nigeria, and will help to utilize the country resources and develop our infrastructures and technological sector. 

Without doubt, this bill will improve the economy and shift it away from the mono - product basis, which will not only grow the country but also provide the needed succor for the mass people in terms of job creation, circulation of money and decreases the exportation duties.

With this bill, the government will not only be reversing the impact of the economic crisis, but will also raise purchasing power of several millions of working people, and by that also reduce poverty and want. 
Senator Teslim Folarin, you are appreciated for initiating and sponsored a bill like this, which we hope our Distinguished Senators at the red chamber will all rally round and give a voice in supporting this bill that would transform Nigeria into an industrialised Nation.

All set for Evanglist Job Alabi’s Burial

All is now set for the burial of renowned Evangelist and founder of Covenant of Peace Evangelistic Association, Evangelist Job Alabi, who died on May 26, 2017. He will be buried on August 12, 2017 in a rite of passage to kick off from tomorrow the 7th day of August 2017. According to the release by the burial committee, Evangelist Alabi would be buried after a burial service which kicked off by 10.00am at the Beulah Baptist Center, Ogbomoso while the interment will at the Peaceable Habitation, Ogbomoso. The burial program would commence on Monday, August 7, 2017 with a commendation service at Ilorin, Kwara State.
